Steven, true, the number is small and no one asked the respondents in the survey of what blogs exactly they read - professional or only from their friends and family maybe. What struck me in the study as well was the impression that people now think of bloggers as some kind of friends who are also experts in some field (when it comes to niche blogs) so the level of intimacy between a blogger and a reader is much higher than that between a journalist of a mainstream media outlet and the same reader.
