Microsoft’s new ads released: better, but risky.

Microsoft has released the Jerry Seinfield free phase two of their $300 million Crispin Porter + Bogusky ad campaign. As we reported yesterday, the new ads feature “everyday people” who use Windows machines. First ad above, and the next two below.

  • If you asked me (and no one would or should they) I think its a brilliant judo method. Take your opponents force and use it against them. These ads, to me (a PC), put human faces on the PC guy and means that the next time I see a Mac v PC ad, I will be saying, Yep I am a PC too you hippy no hoper and Proud of it! I think it will slowly take away the power of the ads as when you see the ads all those faces off the MS ad will flick through your head!
