The Inquisitr: Mashable poised to overtake TechCrunch as leading 2.0 blog by traffic

    Wow, interesting analytics!

I'm a huge fan of both blogs and I've gotten a lot of inspiration for my blog at StartupsNigeria.com

It would be interesting to see their revenues, but that's if TC will be willing to share:-) I doubt if they will.

Probably has a lot to do with Arrington taking a month off then coming back and not keeping 'good' posts coming. I've noticed that they seem to be posting less articles - especially on weekends.

I like both, but I'm very happy for Pete and crew, Europe can be better than US sometimes, right? :-)

Mashable has made a large effort to harness the power of social media sites like Digg. They have some good analytical content, but they also have a decent number of list posts that social media sites seem to love. They found a model that works and that is a good thing.

Too many articles on Mashable, blog marketing 101 applied, but it works, so good. I just doubt that Mashable is as profitable as Techcrunch (even though I really don't know both companies' revenue). Techcrunch just seems more involved in the tech community.

Mashable seems to have more advertising than Techcrunch. Techcrunch probably makes more revenues because of its events business. However, mashable probably does get more traffic because they do a lot of list posts when Techcrunch does none.

It'll be nice to see what the revenues are for both TechCrunch and Mashable. I'm sure TC will hide their revenues too (as they did with their Quantcast stats).
