that was a nice way to try and get across a very important fact
fur is DEAD.Lindsay gets a little flour that -gasp!- could get on her party dress but the animals she is wearing were tortured and murdered.Personally I would have
thrown poo on her because that is what she is acting like -a little s**t she is old enough to know better , she doesn't live in a remote 3rd world country or an igloo, everyone knows where fur comes from and how it is gotten and it doesn't take a brain surgeon to know this and on top of it she is not a baby she is an adult and has grown up in the modern world -she knows what the animals have been through and she is choosing to wear their skinned fur, their bloody aftermath of a stolen life and try and pass it off as high fashion-while really all she is saying is that she is a selfish gluttonous vacant cold hearted sorry excuse for a human.yes she is indeed human but sorely lacking humanity.
Its quite nice.
Take a PC break.
Your comment really sucks.
You are verbally abusive and I think the only one without a soul here is you.
It makes me so angry that people like you don't care about what happens to animals and think that just because your human your superior to them and supprt their torture and suffering and wear what remains of an animal that has been killed, no not killed, murdered just to make you look good. Your delousional because it doesn't look good at all, it makes you look like an selfish prick! And Lindsey got what was expected. Do you think we are just gonna stand around and say 'fair enough, wear the fur coat if you wanna, the animal was hurt for this but who gives a bugger'? Of course not. Would you act the same way with poverty? Of course not. Your standing up for it and your right to do so, but it's not right to bring us down for what we believe and are standing up for. And she got of lightly with a bag of flour. Think of what the animals go through everyday. She should be treated the way they do and maybe she would think twice before she supports animal cruelty. And don't say 'she doesn't support it, she just wears fur clothes', beacuse that is supporting it. It is exaclty the same as the japanese saying 'I don't support whaling, I just kill them for 'scientific research'' or someone saying 'I don't support animal cruelty, i just lock my pets in cages and dont give them food and fresh water to drink'. It's absurd! And you all need to wake up to yourself. And I hope the Lindsey Lohan incident has woken you up and made you realise that animal cruelty is not on!
Hey, but what does it matter? As long as you look good, right?
And you are also soooooo brave, talking about civil suits against animal activists like PETA and talk about paving the way. I was wrong: It's people like you who will eventually change the way we look at things and make this world a better place.
As for wearing fur coats donated to vintage stores, people have the legal right to buy and wear the clothes they want. There is no language in the U.S. Constitution that states otherwise.
I could not do what you do, to hide behind the US Constitution so you can buy and wear what you want and therefore making an excuse not to educate yourself and make a positive choice.
I don't think PETA actions like these will change a lot, but at least they stir things up, and get the discussion going and maybe a few people will want to understand what all the commotion is about and make a change. People tend to forget very easily when it comes to things they really do not want to know about, like crualty to animals or where the steak on their plate came from.
Have you ever seen images of a fur farm? If you are so keen on wearing a fur coat, no matter where you got it, then I guess you sure wouldn't mind to take a look where it came from either. If after that you are still determined to wear your fur coat, just because of the US Constitution permits you, then I give up. I must conclude that you do not want to be bothered by silly things as animal crualty and just think about yourself and your own constitutional right to buy and wear what ever you want. What about the rights of other living beings, or do you only see the purpose they serve? I do hope that you will at least try to understand and make a change, not because PETA demands it from you, this will never work, but for yourself.
no way will they get what they're fighting for by being so disrespectful and rude to their FELLOWMEN. tsktsktsk.
So sad when a generation looses the ability to think by themselves!
Welcome to the Peta-generation!
And the scariest part is that their proud to have a hater group thinking for them!
Don't wish death on PETA and their robot nobrains...they will freeze while starving.
If you are so educated on the subject, I'm sure you could inform us here about farming standards that are applied under the law in the main countries that have fur farms?? It will make you think twice about your so-called education on the subject. Antis are educated from only one side and are very closed to any other relevent sources. They teach you that. I know it because I was one of them
thank you for your post. . I have never been a PETA supporter, there are many other local organisations and they try to make a change by education in the country itself, not by attacking celebreties. I do understand why people get ticked off by actions like these and let's face it, she is only a target because she is a celebrety. I do agree with you that antis only see it their way or the high way so to speak. I support local organisations who educate their own people, since I feel that change will only come from within, It is impossible for me to have the knowledge of fur farms and do nothing.
But can you honestly say that those videos are twisted? What about the live skinning of animals? I am asking this because I am interested in what you have to say as a former insider.
It just bothers me that you insist on wearing your fur coat just because you can, even with the knowlegde of suffering on fur farms. That's all.
Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF). The two groups are responsible for more than 600 crimes since 1996, causing (by a very conservative FBI estimate) more than $43 million in damage. ALF's
"press office" brags that in 2002, the two groups committed "100 illegal direct actions" -- like blowing up SUVs, destroying the brakes on seafood delivery trucks, and planting firebombs in restaurants.
The FBI calls ALF and ELF the nation's "most serious domestic terrorism threat." Bruce Friedrich, PETA's "vegan campaign director" and third-in-command, didn't seem to care when he addressed the Animal Rights
2001 convention in Virginia, telling a crowd of over 1,000 activists that
"blowing stuff up and smashing windows" is "a great way to bring about animal liberation."
This anti-fur thing is like an extreme religion - anything is permissible : attacking someone, or setting a fire, or worse. These eco-terrorits believe ends justify the means.
GET A LIFE - PETA - You are amassing a fortune in donations and doing relatively little to alleviate the suffering of so many domestic animals -
