dear bestraight (and your fellow mignons), to help you not go through life with half a brain, please try to understand the following:

1) emotions are not dictated by the heart. it's completely a brain sensory experience.

2) sexual preference is not determined by a gene (any more than it is the heart). it is dictated by the wiring of the brain. str8 men are wired to like women. gay men are wired to like men.

3) sexual taste is something that is developed. some str8 men like blonds. some gay men like brunettes. additionally, the things you enjoy sexually are also dictated by taste...experience etcetera; some str8 men take it up the butt (and some gay men don't). it's also why some str8 men enjoy sex with men. or sex with both men and women, but are not wired to really be romantically attached or "in love".

4) in order to empathize with a group of ppl who have been discriminated against or rejected by society's majority, one has to imagine themselves as a member of that group. some str8 men can't even begin to imagine love btwn two men; too uncomfortable. it's understandable why you'd hold on to homophobic ideals.

5) your facts about molestation are incorrect. that's like my saying any man who agrees with your point of views wasn't breast fed. everyone knows the reasons why you think & feel the way you do are a) you were born too early, and b) because you weren't breast fed.

Actually just because your grandfather was bi doesnt mean you came out bi genetically, it just means your grandfather influenced you subconsciously which is what happens in most cases. Yes it is a person choice, you cannot sit there and tell me people are born gay, thats like saying god isnt giving them a choice (if your religious) or that the person has a problem, If you say its genetic then your saying either Heterosexual people are genetically inferior or Homosexual people are inferior. Either way your saying it as if its a problem. There are ways of telling one someone exhibits Homosexuality, that is how you can tell if someone is gay from an earlier stage of life. If you dont believe me you can google it.
