I have been married to my partner and we are raising a family together. We have a beautiful family and we devote our lives to the wellbeing of our family. I hope you don't hold the act of a horrible person against me, my partner and my family.

It's just trying to see something for what is really is. It's not always easy to do this but in time as wounds heal we can try.
In Adam's case I believe he is gay but I don't think his sexuality is important. He is an entertainer and I adore him. Some of the best songs I know have been done by homosexuals - George Michael, Boy George, Melissa Etheridge, KD Lang.
I don't presume to know what is a sin and what isn't. What I do know is that we are not here to judge people and none of us is better than the other. I do hope that Americans can put aside their biases and just let Adam be!

I believe in the consitution and the right to freedom of speech. I also believe that people have a right to live the lifestyle they want when it isn't harming other people. But I didn't capatilize romans to tell you where it is. I did it because in the same book, It says do not judge. It also has the Roman Road. For those of you who do not know what that is, it is a list of Bible Verses that are mainly used to witness and bring someone to christ. So instead of us seeing those and witnessing to some of the people on here we are instead casting them down as sinners, and condemning them to hell.
Adam Lambert, GAY or NOT, did a great job. For some reason all of these comments end up the same. Never on topic. ME personally voted for Kris, because he is more likeable. He didn't have the excessively loud and high note pitches that adam could hit. For some people this is not easy to listen to. More people will vote if you can fit into their everyday life. It's irrelevant whether Adam Lambert is gay (and really, who cares - enough talented, charismatic, well-loved stars are gay).
This whole irrelevant stream of religious to-ing and fro-ing came about because of people's knee-jerk reaction to the word 'gay'. Any excuse to open up a debate try to force outmoded bigotry into other people's heads. As for all this bible-quoting, as a very well respected religous leader once commented, 'have more religion in your heart than in your head'. Empathy, understanding and acceptance seem to be sadly lacking - and it's odd how the so-called 'religious' people are the ones displaying a mean streak a mile wide.
The whole debate really has no bearing on Adam Lambert as a person or a performer - he's undeniably and overwhelmingly talented (and if he were straight as a die and singing in a church choir on a Sunday, I'm sure all the religious zealots would be quick to say it's a gift from God. But since he's gay, maybe his gift came out of an Argos catalogue).

By the way, are you aware that the bible suggests slavery is ok, daughters can be sold into slavery, and missbehaving children should be killed. I am guessing that any sane, rational individual would find such suggestions disagreeable in contemporary times. However, in that ugly part of America's history when the slave trade was active prominent individuals acrually turned to the bible to defend their peculiar institution.
On another note, the least watered down version of the Bible (King James Version) contains no scripture directed towards gays in the New Testament. With this in mind, many religious leaders emphasize the importance of the New Testament in guiding our actions because of Old Testament scripture like what was mentioned earlier in the post and additional items such as orders not to eat pigs and shellfish. In fact, throwing the ol' pigskin around is technically in violation of God's law.
On a similar subject, the teachings of Jesus Christ did not single out gays in any kind of way. However, Jesus did offer one powerful commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself. Now that is a piece of advice wrapped in simplicity that could truly solve all of the world's problems. On a final note, always remember that the authority to judge is the exclusive domain of God and belongs to no man or woman.

Adam is like Queen reborn. However, the guy was not a nobody and had his shot at a singing career. Why should American Idol (aka Simon Cowell) get to force these people who had thier chance and didn't make it down our throats. (sorry for the gay pun). I like Adam and agree he is way more talented than the other Idol contestants, but of course he is when a producer goes out, finds him at his peek, and presents him to the media whores of the nation as an undiscovered person just waiting in line at a stadium for his first opportunity to be discovered. If you do not appeal to the masses, you will not be a success. If he was obese or ugly he would not be as successful; all of the pro-gay movement should realize they discriminate on a regular basis. The gay crowd is one of the toughest and most judgemental - they discriminate based on superficial qualities and appearance to determine what is "yummy." I have friends who are in that crowd, and you can't turn your back without it being stabbed. Fact is that Adam is cute so he has a better shot than someone who is ugly or fat.
If Adam is destined to be marketable then it will happen whether he places first or not. Some ppl just cannot tolerate the vision of man on man perversion (me being one of them). I personally would buy Adam's albumn as long as there isn't strong reference to his sexual preference. I am a person in a homosexual relationship (notice I didn't call myself gay because my sexual orientation doesn't define who I am as a human being). The only time I exercised the right of "choice" that people mention when referring to homosexuals is when I chose to live life as a heterosexual. I dated because of that choice, I married because of that choice, I had two children because of that choice (the only part I am grateful about), and I ended up in divorce because of that choice. I don't get any sexual stimulus or intimacy from the opposite sex and it was wrong of me to choose to put my ex-wife through what I did because I made a choice.

Bottom line is, no he is not what we may deem as a stereotypical American Idol figure, but he is (already) an international sensation.
His fan base is from 7 to 80 years old. Wow, what a wide spread demographic! Know what that means? Selling records. And a ton of them. Not that Kris won't sell a few records, he will, but he's no Adam Lambert. This guy has earned a place in our history and should be crowned our next American idol.
