  • or worse, what if Google was America?

    oh wait...
  • The comparison with Iran was a bit strained, but ok. I think the way we look at Google is much the way the rest of the world looks at America. Except, at least, the people running Google aren't insane.
  • You are certainly describing a terrible scenario and such posts do help realize that with Google's power the company can be extremely dangerous if it decides to choose an evil road.
  • U can haz global dominashunz!

I'm surprised the directors haven't had a massive falling-out-of-opinion yet (the sort of thing that splits major companies). Maybe they're all under alien mind control or something...

Since Google effectively controls the online media, we'll never know.
  • Google is only widespread on the Internet as a Search Engine. As a search engine, they know a lot but they're small players in other areas. Their gphone is in the shadows of the Apple iPhone and Google Chrome is in the huge shadow of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Coincidentally, Google blocks Iran, Sudan and Syria from downloading many of their software products such as Google Chrome.
  • If google was iran! Iran would not become the Iran it is Right now ;) Iran would be america!
