The media did NOT ask Obama the hard questions. Did not investigate his background. They pilloried Palin. They investigated her, her daughter. They spent an unseemly amount of time trying to dig up every single little bit of dirt that they could find on her and her family. Obama and his family had absolutely no investigation,no questions.No answers as for why he listened to Wright for 20 years yet never heard hate speech, even though recordings of it were sold in the church. No questions about Wm. Ayres the lefty terrorist.Obama supposedly highly educated yet knew nothing of Ayres?The media worshiped him and demonized McCain. The Dems,Barney Frank and Chris Dodd were responsible for the Fannie and Freddie mess, no questions on that .Go to YouTube and watch Barney Frank deny that there was no problem with Fannie and Freddie. As a Christian conservative, I was very disappointed in this election. The media and newspapers were extremely biased towards the democratic party, and the people were lied to and misinformed. I personally boycoted CNN and only listened to Fox News. I think we will pay a great price for the misdirection we are going to be guided into. I also think President-elect Obama was shocked that he pulled this one off with his charismatic munipulation and because of his novice experience, He will take us in a down spiral tail spin that will take us a long time to get out of. My gravest concern is for the killing and murder of more innocent babies through abortion and redefining marriage through same sex unions. It is against God's laws to shed innocent blood and kill those who can't speak for themselves and redefine a covenant of marriage between a man and a woman designed by Him. If the government wants to separate church and state, then they need to quite crossing over the boundaries of the church by going into these issues that have been set up by God.

I would've prayed to the older Jesus with the beard, but I honestly feel that God intended the baby jesus to be the official prayer catcher, while the bearded Jesus is more of the enforcer in charge of keeping Muhammed, Krishna, Buddha, and Jehovah from messing with your stuff - so I figured i'd better not bother beard Jesus. Then you had states counting boggus ballets and nothing was done. They were aloud to make them good even though they should have been thrown out. So how do we get this country back. When we have stood by and let such corrution continue that our children beleive it is ok to lie cheat and what ever to get where ever they choose as long as it gets them where they want to be. Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along, depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I'm virtually euphoric. Don't get me wrong. I'm not thrilled with America's flirtation with neo socialism. But there's a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted Barak Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America: The Era of White Guilt is over.


This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans didn't give a fluff about skin color, and enthusiastically pulled the voting lever for a black man. Not just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a racist church for 20 years, and actively worked with America-hating domestic terrorists. Wow! Some resume! Yet they made Barak Obama their leader. Therefore, as of Nov 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.


For over a century, the millstone of white guilt hung around our necks, retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 60s, American liberals began yanking that millstone while sticking a fork in the eye of black Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a socialist solution. But if a black man can become President, exactly what significant barrier is left? The election of Barak Obama absolutely destroys the entire validation of liberal white guilt. The dragon is hereby slain.


So today, I'm feeling a little "uppity," if you will. From this day forward, my tolerance level for having my skin color hustled is now exactly ZERO. And it's time to clean house. No more Reverend Wright's "God Damn America," Al Sharpton's Church of Perpetual Victimization, or Jesse Jackson's rainbow racism. Cornell West? You're a fraud. Go home. All those "black studies" programs that taught kids to hate whitey? You must now thank Whitey. And I want that on the final.


Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. Maxine Waters? Shut up. ACORN? Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists? Find another nation that offers better dreams. Go ahead. I'm waiting.


Gangsta rappers? Start praising America. Begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. And please…no more Ebonics. Speak English, and who knows where you might end up? Oh, yeah…pull up your pants. Your underwear is showing. You look stupid.

You're poor because you quit school, did drugs, had three kids with three different fathers, and refuse to work. So when you plop your Colt 45-swilling, Oprah watchin' butt on the couch and complain "Da Man is keepin' me down," allow me to inform you: Da Man is now black. You have no excuses.


No more quotas. No more handouts. No more stealing my money because someone's great-great-great-great grandparents suffered actual pain and misery at the hands of people I have no relation to, and personally revile.

In fact, Obama's ascension created a gargantuan irony. How can you sell class envy and American unfairness when you and your black wife went to Ivy League schools, got high-paying jobs, became millionaires, bought a mansion, and got elected President? How unfair is that??? Now, Like a delicious O'Henry tale, Obama's spread-the-wealth campaign rendered itself moot by it's own victory! America is officially a meritocracy. Obama's election has validated American conservatism!


So, listen carefully…Wham!!!
That's the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white guilt. The rites have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled, and tombstone erected. White guilt is dead and buried.


However, despite my glee, there's apparently one small, rabid bastion of American racism remaining. Black Americans voted 96% for Barak Obama. Hmmm. In a color-blind world, shouldn't that be 50-50? Tonight, every black person should ask forgiveness for their apparent racism and prejudice towards white people. Maybe it's time to start spreading the guilt around.

I am sorry about my blowing off but some of my best friends are and have been black. They feel the same way I do. Get over the whys and wherefores because they won't change anything. This is America, we get to vote, sometimes what we vote for wins, and sometimes not. While I did not vote for Obama, nor really believe in anything he stands for, I as an American will support the president by praying daily that he will be making the right decisions. Hoping that God in his infinate wisdom will continue to bless our great nation. The one nation under God! I also in acknowledging that the side I didn't vote for won, wish that the people of the state of California would acknowledge that marraige is still a sacred union between a MAN and a WOMAN. This traditional definition has been voted on now many times, the public has spoken, they wan't to keep it the way it is, you who would protest about this need to get over it and move on. The public voted. I don't see people picketing and protesting openly about Obama being the president elect. Civil people of all walks of life need to move on, accept the will of the people and try living the Golden Rule (if you don't know what that means, it is to do unto others as you would have others do unto you). I can only HOPE that more Americans get some curiosity about this website and visit it. It is symtomatic of where we are in America today. iI-informed, idol-crazed and still wanting to be with the "in" group. Just like in high school.

When I see people on the news, living in countries where they have nothing, no freedom, no REAL hope and have to live like animals, all I can think is that they are just like sheep in a herd. This video has no credibility whatsoever. I am a video professional with 20 years of experience. I could make this exact same video with interviews from the other side who demonstrate a complete lack of any knowledge of the candidate(s). This kind of editing is the simplest form of skewing the content of the video to support a particular message. I could find clip after clip of people who believed Obama is a muslim. Heck, all I would have to do is interview Texans and 1 out of 4 would give me enough "Obama is a muslim" banter to make 10 of these videos. After all, 23 percent of Texans are convinced that Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is a Muslim, according to the published UT poll. And that was after the media barrage of Reverend Wright (Christian) dominating all "mainstream media" for at least a week. Nice try guys. Too easy. Jay Leno reveals the education level of the average joe on the street when he does his "Jay Walking" segment on the Tonight Show in which he asks folks simple questions about our country, it's history and other basic topics that we all should have learned in our schools. The real video should be about how our schools and parents are not challenging our kids to care about our governing officials and their positions. Of course this assumes those parents care about these issues. Ho-hum.

Well Dave, it sucks that you're unemployed. Reading this thread, I actually really want to agree with a number of your points. But first I remember that it's an unemployed white guy named Dave talking shit about the people that voted Democrat this election, and then I that almost every single one of my Ivy-league, Stanford, Michigan, UC Berkeley, or MIT educated friends voted Democrat, as did most of friends in top-50 law schools, (Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, among them) and V-100 law firms. As did most of my friends in business school and medical school. As did two of my friends who started their own companies when they were working towards their college degrees. As did several of my friends who served in the Armed Forces overseas. And then I realize, there's probably a reason that I don't hang out with very many unemployed white Republicans. My Democrat friends and I would much rather associate with other contributing members of society who have a legitimate concern for the health of our country, our ailing educational system (very evident in many of the comments on here!), our broken healthcare system, our compromised DOJ, and the complete lack of accountability that we have seen at the top levels of goverment, rather than rural whites collecting welfare, bitching about how race politics lost them this election, rather than their own parties unfocused, out-of-touch, and utterly broken campaign platform. Don't you have a talk-radio show you should be listening to or an Ann Coulter book-signing to go to?

For every embarrassing scandal you can bring up about Mr. Clinton's indiscretions, I can name an additional three Republican sex scandals, most often homosexual scandals committed by presumably straight, sometimes married men. Such as Mark Foley's misadventures with boys in the Congressional page program back in September of 2006, or Ted Haggard (Leader of the National Association of Evangelicals -- don't a lot of you bitter Republicans believe in that god character? This guy must be like the Evangelical equivalent of a Pope!) who actually paid for male prostitutes. Personally, I really love Larry Craig's mess -- a man who twice voted against adding the words "sexual orientation" to the federal hate crimes law was arrested trying to solicit sex from an undercover cop. We could continue on...Exhibit 4 is Bob Allen, the Florida Chairman of John McCain's Presidential campaign offered an undercover cop to blow him in a men's room at a public park. Clinton's approval rating when he left office is literally over twice what Bush's is right now, and he was a Rhodes Scholar (I suppose you think that being awarded the most prestigious scholarship in the world is dodging the draft?) and a graduate of Yale Law. In addition, during his presidency, the surplus was $559 billion, and he presided over the longest period of peace-time economic expansion in American History. Bring Bill Back!!

I live in the wealthiest black county in the USA. When I drove up to my local voting location I was immediately approached by a black woman thrusting a flier upon me to suggest I vote DEMOCRAT across the board for each of the candidates or questions put before us. The woman was approximately 30 feet from a sign that stated no campaigning or literature was allowed beyond that spot. I told her she was just shy of breaking a federal law but she gave no heed. Inside the polling place was a madhouse like I had never seen. The turnout was at least 500% greater than I had ever seen and everyone was there to push the one blue button and go home. Little did they know or care there was a congressional vote and local politicians as well. The media screwed us all too well.

People were just not paying attention to the little things that, I think matter - Right after the primaries so many people were interviewed about these candidates - Joe Biden's boyhood friends spoke proudly of Biden's character, John McCain's old Navy buddies talked about his true patriotism and good character, Palin's old friends from Alaska told of her loyal patriotism and yes, intelligence. NO ONE came out of the woodwork for Obama. There were no media troops heading off to Illinois to "dig up the dirt" like they did to Palin. The only past relationships we heard about were of people with questionable character - and the mainstream media gave Obama a pass. Who were his boyhood friends? Who were his friends in college? Did anyone interview his college roommate?? Did anyone find out what organizations he belonged to and dig into what they did? If they did, did the mainstream media report that? Nope.

I am a registered Republican who campaigned and voted for Barack Obama. I can't imagine anything worse than another four years of Bush Doctrine (which Mr. Ziegler could perhaps explain to Sarah before the RNC has her run in 2010). The interviews included imply that anyone who voted for Obama is uninformed. Perhaps Mr. Ziegler should have added an interview with the "Republican" who was hopping around making ape sounds while he was in line outside a McCain/Palin campaign rally in Central Florida. He was holding a monkey at the time (with an Obama name tag on its neck)..........I guess he was implying that being black means you are a monkey. (Someone should have told him that he would have made a great mascot for the Demorcrats......being as how he looked so much like a jackass).

Like it or not Barack Obama ran a brilliant campaign..........and he is still working with those of us who organized and helped get him elected. We resent the fact that Mr. Ziegler gives the credit for the Obama win to the media. We were well organized and completely focused and energized regarding our goal of getting Barack Obama elected. Which he did. We are still organized, energized, and forcused on helping Barack Obama get his job done in Washington. Which he will!

It is upsetting to think that many who are responding are really shocked and unhappy because a liberal black man won the election. Many struggle to accept the fact that he won because the people (both informed and not so informed) thought he would be the best choice for the job.

I can't wait to see the interviews Mr. Ziegler included of Republicans being questioned (both parties should be allowed equal time after all) regarding Senators, etc. I wonder what would have been said if Katie had given Sarah a similar interview?

If you want to talk about the election I can do that to I came from Fl where if a democrat is loosing a race they can find boxes of ballots in poll workes cars they just happen to forget to turn and the judges will allow them to be counted and of course they are for the loosing democrat. I know I saw it happen. It is also a state where Obama received several thousand votes that should not have been counted because registered crimenals should not be counted and they was. I sat in a court room and saw a judge allow ballots that had been touched by workers that determind a sherrif election. That is just a few and Ohio plus several other states had should have been thrown out. I cannot support corruption now or never. If this is what we are teaching our youth we oare in trouble. Look at Barney Frank and Fannie Mae. Our tax paying dollars he gave to Fannie Mae and his Boosom budy being the head of it. And Fanie Mea votes that were tainted. As a republican I can not preceive what you were thinking not to challenge any of this. I pray that Obama does succed and does not let us down because thia is our great country and we need to be proud. Does everyone remember how the correct media called Obama out for flip flopping? Notice he continues to change his position on issues, especially now that he has so many people advising him. Remember how he never answered questions, a practice that continues today. All you had to do was listen. As for the media folks that caused things to get so far out of control, I think they should all be deported and banned from the U.S.

If Sarah Palin wants to be taken seriously in the future, she needs to look at her method of communication. She doesn't know how to put a sentence together succintly or with a complete thought. Sarah Palin created her own caricature by being under-educated on all topics political, and by using the english language poorly.

Now, she is saying there is a class difference between her and Caroline Kennedy. The significant difference that I can see so far, is that Kennedy is able to express herself professionally, thoroughly and logically. Instead of bringing up the obvious comparison to her own embarrassment, she should be taking notes.

Thank you, Mr. J.C. I know a fair amount of my posts on this site so far have been sarcastic in nature, but that was an honest and heartfelt expression of gratitude. It is nice to see that some people on this board not only take the time to think about what they are going to say before they post it on the internet, but also researched a great man who has already said those things to say it for them. There's no doubt that Thomas Jefferson was a brilliant thinker and extremely capable statesman. His words ring truer today than they did in the 1800's -- and you can substitute his quotes for my own personal reasons as to why I am a libertarian. However, once Ron Paul dropped out of the race this year, I put all my horses, fund raising efforts, and campaign efforts behind the candidate who was prepared to drag our country out of the shithole that it was clearly (and according to many economic forecasts, still to this day) heading towards. Which is why I jumped ship/parties/sides and threw my full support behind Barack Obama. Say what you want about his liberal ideology and the love fest that the media had with this, granted, charming and memorable public speaker, but the fact of the matter remains -- John McCain's health was a ticking time bomb, Sarah Palin is dumber than moldy bread, there was very little possibility of a Republican President accomplishing anything significant following the Bush regime (not a terribly hard act to follow -- just look confused and reply with a cute and folksy answer anytime someone asks you a question requiring serious thought), and McCain and Co. ran a remarkably disorganized campaign -- he was often off-topic, Palin frequently broke with her party's platform, and neither of the candidates were able to offer any solutions that we already haven't heard from Bush.

Anyone that says the media did not vet President-Elect Obama properly or gave him bias coverage are wrong. Anything this man did was put under a microscope. From where he was born to things his wife wrote in college (before she even knew Barak). The conservative media kept pounding away creating more fear uncertainty and doubt. It's interesting to see how the man filming primed his audience into blaming a lot on Palin. It's also true that media will always do what they do, but you can't blame the audience for the lack of knowledge at the same time.

Why I did not vote for Obama

Dear Friends,


A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an e-mail with a few points. With the election just around the corner I decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen some of this before but its worth repeating..

First I must say who ever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.


Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness.


I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms he does because he is the leader.


I can't vote black because I am black I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first...black second. Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I wont be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I know Jesus and accepted him as Lord and savior.


In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few wrong economic concerns will soon not matter.


We need to follow Martin Luther King's words don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record.


His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.

To beat Ted Kennedy and Hilary Clinton as the most liberal senator, takes some doing.

Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with.


There is a reason planned parenthood gives him a 100 % ratings.

There is a reason the homosexual community supports him.

There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc loves him.

There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the supreme court.

There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill.

There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage.

There is a reason he voted no on partial birth abortion.

There is a reason he voted no on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.


Lets take a look at the practice he wanted to continue.


The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedure

A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's leg with forceps.

(Remember this is a live baby)

B. The baby's leg is pulled out into the birth canal.

C. The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head.

D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.

E. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.

God help him.


There is a reason Obama opposed the parent notification law.


Think about this...you can't give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.


There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years.


Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wrights sermons. I wonder why now?


Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28 v 19 - 20 Go and make disciples of all nations. This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you, talk like you believe what you believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?


Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenants that said they have a....


1. Commitment to the White Community


2. Commitment to the White Family

3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic

4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community .
5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.”

Would you support a President who went to a church like that?


Just change the word from white to black and you have the tenants of Obamas former church. If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been marching outside.


This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church. The church can't be about race. Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world.


A church can't have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if its a white church or a black church its still wrong. Anyone from either race that attends a church like this would never get my vote.


Obama's former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation. Cone once wrote: “Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.


Cone is the man Obama's mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?


So what does all this mean for the nation?


In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to lead a nation it meant one thing judgement.


Read 1 Samuel 8. When Israel asked for a king.


First God says 1 Samuel 1 v 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do.'


Then God says 1 Samuel 1 v 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.'

19. But the people refused to listen to Samuel. 'No!' they said. 'We want a king over us.

20. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.'


21. When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22. The LORD answered, 'Listen to them and give them a king.'

Here is what we know for sure


God is not schizophrenic


He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.


Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt it.


For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in the face and say Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion.


He might have to nominate three or four supreme court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against you.


I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this. I know I can look the other way because of the economy.


I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama's positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends.


Since we know someone's value system has to be placed on the nation,


1. Whose value system should be placed on the nation.


2. Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?

I think it is sad that we actually have to launch a website, to show how much the media played a role into getting Obama elected. The fact of the matter is anyone is better than Bush or Mccain, could you imagine another four or eight years Bush policies in the white house. The fact is Mccain has run for president three times and lost each time. This time his party gave him the nomination on a silver platter and he still lost, how sad. He chose Palin to try and sway Hilary voters and he still lost, he tried to distance himself from Bush and he still lost, Fox news was so called far and balance and he still lost. People say that many African Americans just voted for him because he was black, but there has been Black candidates before and they did not throw their support behind them. As for me instead of complaining and adding to the negativity, I will take this opportunity to think positive and give the new president a fair chance to start running this great country, I will pray for the country and the new president and his family, for the government to make the right decisions for all the American people. I believe that God will hear my prayer and I hope that we will al do the same, God bless you all.

I hope and pray that you are right tfor the sake of this country and our next generation. That is not so much the case. I know of some black people who said they did not need Obama because they got their black presidant when they got Jimmy Carter. They even said Obama is not blak and they wished he would quit pretending that he is. I just wish he would make a decition and stick to it. But today he said one thing and tomarrow he has changed his mind. He changes his ideas on running this country faster than I can change underware. I also hope if I am late on my taxes or just don't pay them I can say it was just an honest mistake. If I could do that to the tune of 42 thousand dollars I might never have to pay taxes again. I to could probably aford a maid if I could get an illelegal imagrant and not get caught. I am just so tired of all the miss givings the Demecrats do and it is just a simple oops. JOB - URINE TEST "SPEAK OUT AMERICA"

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test
with which I have no problem.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who
don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, because I
have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their
feet.
I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on
their BUTT, doing drugs, while I work. . . .
Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a
urine test to get a public assistance check?
Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't.
Hope you all will pass it along, though . . . Something has to change in
this country -- and soon!!!!!

We could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'.

I also suggest we send this on to the president to read. Just maybe if his email box gets full enough he will get the message. What say you?

The race is over, there are more important issues for FOX NEWS to cover instead of spending so much time with the Palins. Gov. A Professional by career it is not hard to notice that journalism seeks out no ethics exams nor any particular prerequisite qualifications. I'm 71 years old raised 3 children and worked two jobs for years and finally retired with a pension from a company. Nothing was given to me! Young folks seem to think they should be 18 graduated with big big House free.....fancy car free....big yacht free....etc..etc.....that mind set. Basically, all the video/poll shows is that a lot of people, not just the people in the poll, are really uninformed about the candidates. Even though the person who did the poll stated that it is not a very scientific poll, it does give some incite into just how uninformed people are when it come to electing someone to be the President of the United States. As we all know by now, Obama is an empty book...the pages are clean and will be filled by those people around him. He is exactly what the Democrats want. He will do just as they say… for they run the show, not the other way around. Unfortunately, Obama will never be solidly on track. The Democrats will tear him apart with all their needs and greed’s. The phrase "tax the rich" has once again become popular. We heard it in the 60's with Johnson's "War on Poverty". We hear it today from President Obama, but it first got it's start back in 1913 when Democrats outmaneuvered the Republicans in a quest to create the first Income Tax. Their slogan was "Soak the rich". Ironically, it took only the space of a generation before the soaking became universal! We can say the same about Social Security, Welfare, and any other program that extends the influence of government. Extending their reach solidifies their power.

By all rights the Democratic Party should have died after the Civil War. Their main cause "States Rights" (i.e. - slavery) was defeated and their political relevance outcast until the close of the 19th century. However, as the Demo's began to immerge from obscurity they hit on a new recipe for success. Simply put, the exploitation of disaffected groups. At first this tactic produced positive change in America with the breaking down of barriers that prevented many from full participation in our society. Unfortunately, social justice was never their aim. Power and it's propagation was the ultimate goal. Today that tactic has aligned them with gay rights and abortion advocates projecting these acts and those who are associated with them as if they had the same moral currency as Blacks, Jews, and other social outcasts of past generations.

Palin has again turned around a situation to suit her agenda with David Letterman's statement about her daughter.
Sarah knows that letterman was talking about her older daughteer, yet she tried to switch it around to make people think it was the younger 14 year old. It's the same thing she did in the campaign when she told people that Obama was " Paling around with terrorist" and he started his campaign in the living room of a terrorist. This is a classic tactic of the right, and if Palin is going to run in 2012, she needs to get her lies straight.

To set the record straight...Letterman was talking about Palin's then 17 year old daughter...everyone who actually followed the campaign knows that. As for eco-terrorist connections to Obama, this is also true even by Obama's own admission. This is classic Liberal dribble. When Demo's voted for the war in Iraq they said they were misled. Bush must have lied to them. In reality, they had the same information President Bush had and amazingly enough came to the same conclusion. I will hand it to them though they have really perfected the strategy of taking the moral high ground, even on a pretense. Refer to my earlier comments.

Mr Ziegler s interview with MSNBC shows exactly how that "network" in so bias.He said the truth.Ms Brewer didnt want to hear it.Some how she couldnt understand why Mrs Palin was upset.Then Ms Brewer for some unknown reason was greatly insulted by comments her network was substandard????

You would have to be brain challenged not to see the Bias praticed by the likes of the goverment run media(MSNBC,CNN,etc)Keep up the great work,we need you to stay at the ratings bottom rows.

I think people should get over the fact that Obama won the presidential election whether or not the media had anything or something to do with his win. Sarah Palin should get over it and face the fact that the Republican Party lost, I mean obviously McCain moved on and so should she. Sounds to me she just has a hard time of letting things go. Honestly, I'm sick and tired of hearing her complaints. She lost, she needs to get over it.

Actually, I haven't heard Sarah Palin complain about losing the election. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that April is a liberal. If so, I find it ironic that she's playing the "get over it" card. I do recall the Dem's going on for eight years how Bush stole the election from Al Gore. As far as McCain moving on I think he moved on right after the primaries. I don't know a single conservative that took him seriously...my thought at the time was "are the Republicans trying to lose the election!" Hmmm...great stuff for all the conspiracy theorists out there.

In the social/political contest the safest bet is to critize everyone. That way you really don't have to stand for anything. Ed, you don't like Bush and you don't like Obama, but you offer no constructive alternatives. If this is all you have to say I hope you don't vote until you actually have an opinion that carries more than trite insults. If you have further light and knowledge on an alternative...please feel free to share. On the other hand, once you've shown some courage and put forth an idea expect the rest of us to scrutinize it carefully. I promise not to call you an idiot or fool for your ideas.

The best I could gather from these interviews is something that was understood many years ago. The public, so wide spread and disjoint from the true issues pending our nation, is incapable of directly voting for its representatives. To therefore check the dangers of democracy the constitution was written with "checks and balances." How do those work today? One change is we now directly elect senators; they are not appointed (assuming people see how that helped fight state corruption).
However, who decides how much of a threat the democratic process is becoming to this nation and its republican (the ancient ideology, not the party) balances. The average person doesn't identify with their representatives, but rather with their own immediate emotions: ethos, pathos (but logos?). Federalist, anti-federalist, Jeffersonian Republican, Whig, Democrat, Republican, etc: they all disagree(d) over use of powers and how well people actually use it.
Overall, the election was bound to go democratic this time around, just like how the majority leader always seems to lose public support (and seat). I don't see how some people didn't see that coming. People heard Republican policies for 8 years, so anything opposite of that sounded invitingly dramatic no matter the person. As far as Obama goes, I am sure if someone blinded us and told us his character flaws compared to Hitler’s we would all choose Hitler. It’s a common study done in history courses where FDR and Churchill are compared to Hitler and students unknowingly choose Hitler. So, I would just be worried if we elected someone with almost perfect reputation.

Well said. I agree with your statesment about representative government, but I don't see a massive movement flowing back and forth between the two major parties simply because the challenging party is different. I see three groups: liberals, conservatives, and those unaligned. It seems that it is usually the unaligned that swing the momentum. Consider that Obama won the popular election by 2% to 3%. This is not a convincing argument that the nation as a whole has shifted emotionally. It does show that a small group of people who were unaligned or disgruntled swung the vote. This has been true for the past several elections. In truth the liberal versus conservative battle lines are proving to be more and more rigid over time. It is the clasic war of social values. The traditional view mostly represented by conservatives and a new (still evolving) view represented by liberals.

This video and poll are as biased as you are purporting the media was biased against McCain/Palin. Unless, a SCIENTIFIC poll is designed to capture the political knowledge of BOTH democratic/republican voters in an unbiased way, no inference can be made. I find it hypocritical that your inferring media bias, yet are imploring tactics that are highly biased.
