If you look at Compete you will see that Twitter is adding 2x Summize's user base every month. Additionally, Summize is generally a read application which is easier to scale than a read/write app like Twitter.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Twitter's main problem reminds me of eBay and Betfair in the early days. All three are database heavy applications which need to be scaled very quickly. Both eBay and Betfair had major scaling issues early on but over a period of months managed to sort it out and build solid businesses. I predict Twitter will as well (and you will still be using them in 12 months time!)</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">nigelecccles</dc:creator><pubDate>Tue, 08 Jul 2008 04:55:49 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
