Not all the world's a VAX and not all blogs run WordPress.

However, the functionality of this WP plugin and the Disqus API (soon to be released) is interesting to users of Habari and other less widely known blogging platforms.

Ok, so after reading your post I did indeed decide to give Disqus a try. Registration was quick and simple but after that the whole web site seemed to break down... couldn't update my profile properly, most of the management screens didn't render correctly... a whole host of problems. Hopefully just teething problems with the new roll out!

I've been using disqus for sometime and really like the new changes. The hosted issue was a problem for me in that, if Disqus happened to go down, you lost all your comments. The local copy makes a big difference for me.

In the added or improved list includes adding moderators, setting permissions, block lists and comment system configuration.
