The Inquisitr: Australian Government considering iPod searches

Seriously, what the hell is going on with people? Will they also go through my compendium in case I'm trying to bring a photocopy of a book on board? Or is this just a ruse to try to catch child-pornographers who haven't renamed their files?

Crazy! Bringing back a case load of pirated DVDs from Bali is still ok though.

I can't honestly consider this info to be true. It just sounds so stupid... are we on April, the 1st yet?

First of all, most people know their rights. No one - not even the police - can ask you to "show them" the contents of your MP3 player, moblie phone or laptop/notebook etc. The word "Warrent" comes to mind. Unless you are being aressted for a crime, no one has the right to look through your belongings. Another word comes to mind "Lawsuit". And how will they tell the difference between what is a "pirated" MP3 and something you made yourself? I.E. the CD album you bought from the store and converted it to MP3 format to put on your media devices? The record labels are nothing more than greedy Idiots. For shame!
